Trail Conditions

Current at 1st May 2015

Trails: All open, red with diversions, see below.

Conditions: Take care as there may be fallen trees - please report to ranger.

The red 7stanes trail is affected by Larch tree felling, as there’s timber across the trail in multiple sections. It contains a lot of road riding at the moment.

We have three harvesters on the go working 7 days a week so the trails should be back to normal sooner rather than later.

Please Note - Due to a break-in last week causing significant damage to the machines at Murray’s Monument their plans have had to be slightly altered. As a result starting tomorrow 5th May, two banksmen will be on site one at the top and one at the bottom. All cyclists will be stopped and allowed through once it is safe to do so. This is because they are felling the larch trees across from the main trail which are well within the fall zone and could hit someone.
The trail is still OPEN but this slight change is to ensure everyone works safely. It should only last a couple of days all being well.
